“Wondering if being a stay-at-home mom is still enough? you can raise your kids and build your skills, income and confidence. I have had my own fair share of unproductive days as a mom. Before my first pregnancy, I was a lover of all things educative and financially productive. I have never liked being dependent on anyone. And then, boom—I got married, had a baby, and lost every zeal to chase the bag. I practically became weak whenever business or career was mentioned.
At that point, it felt like all I wanted at the time was to be a good mom and a loving partner. I lost myself in motherhood. I cared more about home, it was so obvious. I just couldn’t keep up. I couldn’t help it—I was disorganized. I just couldn’t keep up with the baby, the new changes, packing bags whenever I had to go out and all that. I just couldn’t keep up with anything other than home.
But with the right community and the right information, I was able to pull myself together.
(You can read this in my post “Lost in Motherhood” — how I was able to overcome that phase and start being more.) I didn’t just become organized and productive —I picked up other side hustles to augment my finances.
“I realized I could do more, be more than a mom – the new stay at home mom.”
And here’s how I improved my earning power, how moms everywhere are making the most of their time at home -with online work, courses and flexible income streams”. Mom life can be homely and productive all you need is a soul search, identifying your strengths and looking for productive tasks to engage in. If you are convinced that certain jobs are not for you, you can take your time trying them out until you are able to identify which interests you. Being productive as a stay at home mom does not only revolve around making money, you can choose to upgrade your skill by taking online courses and if money is a problem certain online sites offer free and short term courses which I will be including in this post.
